The poor pilot on number 7 did everything right - kept the nose up similarly as may be plausible and shut down his engines just before landing in the desire of neutralizing prop strikes. In any case, fortunes was not with him, as neither one of the props stopped in a position of lack of care with the ground, requiring prop substitution and two complete engine tear downs and appraisals (adding at any rate $70,000 to the damage charge.
